Apple is upgrading its M2 Silicon chips, with plans for new M2 Pro and M2 Max processors announced.
Apple M2 Performance & Silicon Analysis
The recently announced M2 Pro and M2 Max processors are intended for Apple computers. They are said to deliver even better performance than the standard M2 chip, but are still more efficient than the currently available M1 and M2 models. According to official tests, the battery of a MacBook Pro is said to last as much as 22 hours.
The M2 Pro builds on the original M2 chip, offering up to 32GB of unified memory, along with up to 12 CPU cores and up to 19 GPU cores. It also features twice the memory bandwidth (up to 200GB per second), with Apple claiming smoother performance for heavier processing loads like graphics-intensive Photoshop projects.
Of course, the graphics processing should also be improved, bringing games closer to 'console quality' in terms of quality than on previous versions of the M1 or M2.
