The next Apple Watch could be extra large, but it might be dwarfed by all the fuss over the new band design.
Apple Watch Ultra Bands – Which One Should You Choose? Worth $100?
Apple's new "pro" Apple Watch, which is likely to be unveiled at its Far Out event on September 7, could feature a new band design that won't be compatible with older watches. If so, it would mark the first time Apple has changed up the band, which has remained the same since the original Apple Watch launched in 2015. But is this really a scandal worth paying the gate? We wouldn't bet on it.
“If the new Apple Watch Pro has a new band design, I imagine it will split opinion,” manufacturing and software expert Adam Rossi told Lifewire via email. “Whenever Apple makes a design change that makes previously compatible accessories no longer compatible with the new design, there are always three camps of people: those who are so excited about the latest Apple product that they don’t mind; those who weigh the specific convenience of the new product against the new problem it creates; and those who scare Apple off by assuming that we can and will all change our accessories.”
Apple Watch Pro rumors have evolved over the past year, from a possible sports model to a more luxurious, high-end model with a larger screen, longer battery life and possibly new health sensors.
