Amidst all the crazy social media craze of Wordle, Locket has managed to carve out a niche of its own. Locket is an image sharing app/widget and has been trending No. 1 in the App Store for a while now. If you are interested in using alternative apps for Locket, this page is for you.

Magnets is a great app that combines iCloud's Shared Albums feature with Locket's Widget feature. Yes! You can create a widget on your iPhone's home screen that displays photos included in that shared album. Magnets refers to these things as Shared Widgets and the photos themselves as magnets.

Each magnet has a name, and once you share that magnet, all your friends will be able to see it with its name in the bottom left corner of the widget. You can choose which of the shared images you want to display in the widget at any time by tapping on the widget and dragging the image you want to display to the top of the stack of shared images. The catch is that this change will also be reflected in your friends’ widgets, keeping you connected all day long. Magnets isn’t perfect, though.

Unlike Locket, Magnets has access to both the Photos app and the Camera app. In fact, it asks for your permission to access both when you first open it. Both apps require you to invite people, but you can add more than 5 people in Magnets.
