Surprise: Apple computers are cheaper to buy and run in the workplace than PCs.
Why Mac is better than Windows *10 reasons*
Macs are cheaper over their lifetime, according to a new study from Forrester (PDF). The initial purchase price may be higher (or not, see below) than PCs, but after you pay for support, security, and software, Apple gear starts to look like a bargain. And it’s just a lot less hassle.
The problem? Apple commissioned this study. Still, the claim rings true, so we asked a few business owners about their experiences with Apple vs. PCs. Spoiler alert: the findings of the Apple-funded study are correct.
"Apple hardware looks expensive. If I buy a PC-based laptop, I get much more bang for my buck on paper," Paul Walker, founder of British video production company FnX Media, told Lifewire via email.
