For a limited time, Wizards of the Coast is releasing seven separate Magic: The Gathering Spring Superdrop Secret Lair releases for the 2024 edition. The cost of some of these bundles may be higher than the value of the cards on the secondary market.

The value of Secret Lair drops can vary, depending on the number of reprints, the quality of the reprints, and the popularity within MTG formats like Commander. There is also what I like to call buyer value. The Princess Bride Secret Lair drop was an automatic grab for me, mainly out of love for the film. Within the 2024 Spring Superdrop Secret Lair, most drops fall below buyer value, as the cost and secondary market value are basically a wash after shipping and taxes. However, at least one drop has the potential to surpass the cost of the bundle in value.

All Secret Lair Spring Superdrop offers are available for a limited time via the WotC website.

This is the first of four Secret Lair drops via a partnership with Hatsune Miku. The Sakura Superstar drop has collector potential, especially if all four drops are purchased. It also includes a reprint of Azusa, Lost but Seeking, which could cover the cost of the drop alone.
