Figuring out where to set up your base in Ark: Survival Ascended isn’t easy. Moving furniture around in real life is a chore; imagine doing that with dinosaurs. No thanks. I’d rather just pick one of the best base locations right away.

If you’re just starting to play Ark: Survival Ascended’s The Center and are looking for the best base locations on this map, then you’ve come to the right place. We’ve picked locations that offer a nice mix of resources, flat terrain suitable for building, and plenty of space to park your dinosaurs, whether they’re flyers, swimmers, or land dwellers. All of the names in this guide are fictional, so don’t expect to find their names on the map. Just follow the coordinates and general location on the map and you’ll be fine. I named this base location Beaver's Haven because you get a clean ruin area to hide from incoming dangers while being surrounded by Beaver Dams. Additionally, there is a shortcut to one of The Center's caves and there are many resources nearby such as Metal and Crystal.

With nearby beaver dams full of treasure and ancient ruins providing a solid base for expansion, this place is a PvE paradise in Ark: Survival Ascended.
