Assassin's Creed Shadows will be officially revealed on May 15, but reports are already shedding light on the game's features, and fans hate one.

The much-hated feature is none other than a battle pass, which will reportedly be included in the upcoming Assassin's Creed title. Shadows will feature "mini Battle Passes called 'Projects,'" according to a report from gaming journalist Tom Henderson.
As expected, players immediately began criticizing Ubisoft and its famous franchise for the alleged feature. "Ubisoft has gotten so good at making sure I will never give them my money," read one response to Henderson. "Battle passes in single player games? Nope, it's over," added another.
Of course, not everyone is opposed to the reported feature, but the negative attitude towards it is currently most prevalent on social media. Battle passes have become an industry standard. While many players have no problem with them in free-to-play multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Warzone or Fortnite, some feel that adding them to single-player titles is a way to extort more money from fans.
