Since Piko is an all-round Chocobo in terms of stats, I decided to further improve his stats. The Gi Headdress gives you a decent boost in Acceleration, Cornering, Strength and Intelligence. Both the Rodeo Poncho and Rodeo Legwraps increase Speed and Weight to give Piko a decent enough speed boost and drift potential.
Given Piko's inferior stats, you may find yourself having to catch up with other Chocobo Racers. The Rodeo Poncho and Gi Headdress effects address these issues and allow you to easily catch up even if you're in last place. Master Drifter is also one of the best skills if you like to drift boost during any type of turn on the track.
