Crude oil is an invaluable resource in Palworld. To boost your growth, you need to fully dedicate one of your four bases to producing it.

With the Sakurajima update, Crude Oil has become one of the most important resources to farm in Palworld to produce Plasteel, the main ingredient for producing high-end armor, weapons, and spheres. While you can harvest Pals like Kikit, who drop Crude Oil, and collect the materials from supply drops, you’ll quickly realize that you’re going to need a lot of Crude Oil, and the best way to do that is to have a Crude Oil farming base in Palworld.

To set up a Crude Oil farm in Palworld, you’ll need to find the black nodes leaking oil on the map and set up an Extractor, which is unlocked at level 50 in your tech tree. Ideally, there should be two or more nodes in a location to make it worthwhile, and we’ve carefully chosen these locations to set up your fortress.

The newest Japanese-style island has multiple spots with two Crude Oil nodes, making it easy to find one. But our personal favorite (Coordinates: -512, 172) is near the room guarded by the giant mushrooms. The spot looks great. But most importantly, it’s flat ground, making it a perfect spot to set up camp and place Power Generators and Pals to power up the base. You also have Kirits that spawn in the north of the island, so you can harvest them at any time to increase your Crude Oil reserves.
