2020 was the year of video conferencing. Whether it was for work, school, a social gathering, or even a music concert, we all used some sort of third-party collaboration service to meet and talk to others virtually. Of the apps that people used to connect with others, Zoom became synonymous with virtual meetings, and rightly so. At a time when others (Microsoft and Google) were just rolling out their large-scale video calling services, Zoom was already rolling out 50-user meetings that proved useful to many of us.

But let’s just admit it. We’re all tired of seeing our colleagues and friends in virtual square boxes and maybe, just maybe, hanging out in the same room with others. Enter – Immersive View. The new Zoom feature acts just like Microsoft Teams’ Together Mode, allowing you and others in a meeting to hang out in the same room (screen) and connect with others in a more natural way.
In this post, we'll show you the best Immersive View Scenes that you can download and set up in Zoom, in addition to the scenes already available on Zoom.
Before we show you the list of custom backgrounds you can use with Immersive View on Zoom, let’s first show you all the scenes that are available by default in the app. Currently, there are 9 Immersive View scenes available by default in Zoom, all with different seating capacities. Of the 9 available scenes, 8 are Zoom-created Immersive View backgrounds, while the last one allows participants to hang out in the same background as yours.
