The world of Lightyear Frontier is rich and thriving, with an abundance of resources everywhere. Choosing a starting base seems simple, but it isn’t. The key is to find a spot with as many resources as possible. The rule of thumb is to place yourself near a water source, as you need water for plants. The next rule is to build your base near a source of rare materials, such as aluminum ingots or red crystals.
The Meadows is a starting area that is very rich in basic resources. For the first part of the game, make sure that your place is near a water source. I placed my first home base in the middle of The Meadows, near the river valley. An added bonus is the source of aluminum ingots near the water. If you follow the path, you can even find the red crystals.
