The classes listed below are ranked based on their active abilities, strengths and weaknesses, and how well they work with other units on the field. Unlike other RPGs and JRPGs, Unicorn Overlord's turn-based combat is automated, meaning all you can do is move and initiate attacks on the map, and choose formations and units for combat.
Speed, mobility, and damage are what the Fighter is all about. The Fighter serves as a basic infantry unit, using Arrow Cover to neutralize ranged attacks against its allies and the Shield Bash to stun an enemy unit. The Fighter bodes well against Hunters, but Warriors and magick attacks are its Achilles heel.
The Housecarl bypasses enemy units' defenses to deliver powerful attacks, but its weak defenses and lack of healing make it susceptible to counterattacks. Use the Housecarl sparingly and pick your battles to get the most out of this guerrilla unit.
