Elden Ring loves to show its multitude of afflictions to players in the most unexpected ways. As you progress, you can use these afflictions to your advantage. One of the most serious afflictions is Scarlet Rot.
Shadow of the Erdtree – New INFINITE ROT is now CRAZY – Best Butterfly Bud Build – Elden Ring DLC!
Here's how to best deal with Scarlet Rot if you're suffering from it in Elden Ring.
Scarlet Rot is a condition that burns the player down to their maximum HP per second. For experienced Dark Souls players, this effect is similar to the old Toxic. Scarlet Rot has a longer duration than other conditions and will burn through multiple health consumables unless you have a cure or a suitable Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The same effect can work for you against enemies in both PvP and PvE if you have the right weapons, Ashes of War and Incantations. Since there are a few builds to choose from, we’ll showcase Scarlet Rot’s power through two: one that works as an early to mid-leveling build, and one that’s strong in the endgame.
