The Automatons are one of Helldiver 2's toughest enemies due to their focus on ranged combat, a direct contrast to the Terminids. It's this key difference that makes the Automatons so dangerous, and without the right Stratagems at your fingertips, you don't stand a chance against them.

The best Stratagems against Automatons are those that counter their biggest advantage, Armor. Almost all but the lowest tier Automatons are clad in some level of armor that makes them difficult to take down without the proper tools. For this reason, I highly recommend deploying Stratagems that can be called upon frequently and can deal with armored enemies with ease.
