The irony is that consistency and diligence win the race in FFXIV’s signature casino: waiting for a jackpot Cactpot ticket won’t get you very far. Whether you’re trying to rack up enough MGP to buy expensive rewards or aiming for that four million MGP Blackjack pile, here are the best ways to rack up as many casino coins as possible.
The fastest way (by far) to grind MGP is through Moogle Treasure Trove events. These seasonal events are released as content filler leading up to the next major patch or expansion. Players earn Irregular Tomestones to trade in for rare items like trial mounts from previous expansions, hairstyles and emotes tied to intense duties, and more. The catch is that each iteration of the event awards an MGP Platinum Card, a consumable item that adds 50,000 MGP to your Gold Saucer account for 30 Irregular Tomestones.
Since most event-eligible tasks only yield two to seven Irregular Tomestones, it can be tough to grind out more than a few Platinum Cards if you go about it the conventional way. Your best bet is to grab Blue Mage, learn the standard spells used to cheese just about everything – The Ram’s Voice, Ultravibration, Missile, Moon Flute, Whistle, and Final Sting – and then jump into a farm party via the Party Finder for the easiest-eligible task.
