Bethesda has announced that the release of two major titles, Redfall and Starfield, will be delayed to give them more time to refine them.
Bethesda Delays Starfield and Redfall
It was revealed via tweets that both Bethesda's Starfield and Arkane Studios' Redfall will see their releases delayed by several months. According to Bethesda and Arkane, both games require additional development time to better realize the teams' ambitions.
Arkane's (Dishonored, Prey) Redfall aims to be a cooperative open-world shooter set in a city completely overrun by vampires. Four different playable characters each offer different skills and specialties, which can complement other teammates in co-op or provide some single-player variety.
Bethesda's (Skyrim, Oblivion) Starfield is the company's first RPG in years that isn't set in a fantasy world. Instead, it embraces science fiction with a space voyage about "answering humanity's greatest mystery."
