A trademark secretly filed by Bethesda in the United States suggests that a new installment in the long-running Doom series is coming soon.

Doom Eternal was the last major release in the series, but the roguelike Mighty Doom is coming in 2023, and it looks like Bethesda is reviving the fight against the apocalyptic invasion.
As noted by Eurogamer, Bethesda trademarked the name “IDKFA” back in January. While this may seem irrelevant to some, longtime players of the Doom series should recognize it as a well-known cheat code.
Given that Doom was also mentioned in a release schedule that Microsoft accidentally shared in 2023, it seems more likely than ever that a new entry in the series is on the way. We could get a reveal soon.
