The Black Myth: Wukong sexism controversy arose following reports from employees that developers at Game Science have been making sexist comments for years, suggesting that the company doesn't want women playing their games.
In recent years, we’ve seen a series of disturbing insights into the behind-the-scenes nature of the video game industry. Activision infamously came under fire in 2021 after a report revealed sexual harassment and sexism within the company. Ubisoft was also accused of embodying a similar “toxic culture.”
