When Bloodborne was released in 2015, it was praised for its gameplay and theme, even being hailed as one of the best video games among fans. The PlayStation-exclusive game was undoubtedly great, but until now it could only be played at 30 FPS and on console.
Bloodborne with unlimited framerate on PC!
ShadPS4, a PlayStation 4 emulator for PC, now makes it possible to play Bloodborne with an unlimited framerate, and on PC. You can check out the demo video above where the uploader shows off gameplay through the emulator; the framerate is inconsistent, but what we get here is exceptional compared to the 30 FPS cap.
A related post on Reddit gained traction, with community members praising the emulator developers for their efforts, even several years after the game's launch. User _theMAUCHO_ said, "Their passion and talent is truly out of this world." Another user added, "They somehow have more passion than Sony."
As for why there hasn’t been an official PC release yet (despite all the demand), no one knows for sure what’s going on behind the scenes. Until then, hopefully the developers of the ShadPS4 emulator will be able to get a playable version of the game out on PC. It’s unclear how long it will take, but the admin will be keeping fans updated on all the latest developments with the port on their Twitter page and website.
