The current event in Pokémon Go revolves around hatching eggs to find rare Pokémon, including Shiny Larvesta. This is the highlight of the event.
Did We FINALLY Hatch *LARVESTA*? | Pokemon Go Glittering Garden Event
As you might expect, trainers in the community are not very fond of running an event based on RNG, where you have a chance of something that has a low chance of appearing, because Larvesta is hard to find in every egg that hatches.
As one trainer recently put it in a Reddit thread, “I hatched 60 eggs and not a single Larvesta,” which isn’t exactly a pleasant feeling for those hoping for even a small chance of a Shiny showing up, let alone Larvesta in its base form.
There’s also no other way to get Larvesta, with the Field Research and Timed Research tasks all giving you Litleo, Slugma, or Turtonator. So even if you just want a Larvesta to complete the dex, you’ll have to keep hatching eggs repeatedly and praying for luck.
