Bungie has acknowledged and confirmed that Destiny 2: The Final Shape was accidentally pushed live earlier today, giving players access to the highly anticipated expansion.

It came as no surprise, then, that players began posting their findings online, much to the chagrin of many who wanted to avoid spoilers before the DLC's release on Tuesday, June 4. It made for a stressful day for the game's developer and fans.
"Today, a portion of Destiny 2: The Final Shape was accidentally put live on the PS5 streaming service," Bungie said in its statement. "Spoilers are currently being shared online. A small group of players were able to play a portion of the campaign, access collections, and other reward information coming in The Final Shape and Echoes."
Photos of unannounced armor, weapons, and everything in between, including story spoilers, have been all over social media, and Bungie is warning players to stay vigilant, avoid spoilers, and not spread them in order to save the experience for others.
