Veteran content creator Myth has told fans he is taking an "indefinite" break from streaming. The decision to quit comes shortly after the 25-year-old's two-year contract with YouTube Gaming expired.

Myth, who has been a huge part of the streaming scene since Fortnite's heyday in 2017, admitted in a 12-minute vlog shared on social media today that he's burned out and needs to take a break from creating regular content to determine his future. "It's true in my heart, in my core, that I need to take a break," the departing star admitted. He doesn't have a set return date in mind, but stated that he "does want to be back."
Myth subsequently confirmed that when he does return, it will be on Twitch again. The last time he broadcasted on Amazon’s platform was in late 2022, before signing a mega-exclusivity deal with the Google-owned video site.
It’s no surprise that Myth returned to the purple-branded streaming giant after his 24-month stint on YouTube; the star has slowly faded from the public eye since the move, averaging just 10,000-20,000 views on his livestreams. In the days leading up to his last contracted stream, which ran on July 13, he hinted that he was leaving the site. His final broadcast lasted just two hours.
