Some details have already been leaked about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ahead of its reveal during today’s Xbox Games Showcase. These include the release date and more.

The game hit the Xbox Store a bit early: it was set to release on October 25, with a possible October 17 release for early access to the campaign, as CoD has done in recent years.
“Forced to become villains,” reads the game’s description. “Hunted from within, this is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is an espionage action thriller set in the early 1990s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics marked by the end of the Cold War and the emergence of the United States as a single superpower. Featuring a mind-bending narrative and no boundaries set by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.”
The Xbox page revealed news about maps and relevant pre-order information, including 16 playable maps at launch and the return of the round-based Zombies mode.
