Just over a year after joining Pokémon Go, Bounsweet is back in the spotlight thanks to a special Community Day event. But does this mean you can get a Shiny Bounsweet, Steenee, or Tsareena while playing?
The RAREEST Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO history!
Niantic is always playing with Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go, adding them at seemingly random intervals. Some species only get their Shiny, which are rare, alternate color variants of a Pokémon, as tie-in content for events, usually at least a year after they first become available in the game. So if you’re a Shiny and you’re on the hunt for a Bounsweet with purple, leaf-like hair instead of green, you might be in luck.
Shiny Bounsweet, Steenee, and Tsareena will be available in Pokémon Go starting May 19, 2024. They were added as part of the Bounsweet Community Day event, a common tradition for Pokémon Go.
Niantic loves putting Shiny Pokémon into events before their debut, though it usually means you have to wait months or years before you see new Pokémon add their Shiny variants to the game. If Bounsweet Community Day passes without a Shiny being added to your collection, your best bet may be to hunt down Fruit-type Pokémon during events where they have a higher chance of appearing.
