The main mechanic in Homeworld 3 is building and researching your new and existing units to make battles more dynamic and exciting. But it takes a lot of time to build a single unit.
Can I beat Homeworld 3 with 1 ship? #ad
In Homeworld 3 every second counts and you have to move your fleet, build and research, and attack enemies at the same time. You have to use every advantage you can get, such as speeding up your building and research activities in Homeworld 3.
Unfortunately for players, there is no way to speed up building and researching. During the main campaign, you have the ability to upgrade your Mothership and your Resource Carriers, but this does not result in increased research and building speed. Each upgrade is unique and takes a few minutes to complete. For example, it takes six minutes to upgrade your Mothership for the first time, and this allows you to create an even wider variety of units. Later, in mission seven, you can upgrade your Resource Carriers, but this only increases the health pool of your units.
So you need to build and research at the given speed. For example, it takes 6 seconds to build an Interceptor and 10 seconds to build a Recon. The best advice I can give is to always research and build, even during combat. That way you shouldn’t run out of units for combat and you won’t be focusing so much on how fast you actually build.
