Computer manufacturers and people who buy computers do not register their MAC addresses with a central administration. There is no way to find a stolen computer by its MAC address or to discover the identity behind one of these addresses.

While MAC addresses aren’t stored anywhere with any identifying information attached to them, there are ways to search for a MAC address to find out more information about it. What you find can help you with further investigation and troubleshooting.
For example, use the website MAC_Find to look up a MAC address and find the vendor information. If it works, you are one step closer to finding out the manufacturer, but it doesn't really help you find out who owns the MAC address.
