TenZ is fed up with VALORANT's remake system and believes the AFK penalties should be adjusted to address the increase in queue dodgers.
When TenZ Can't Beat HARD BOTS in Spike Defuse Exercise
TenZ returned to streaming on April 26, and in his first competitive match of the day, Reyna from the enemy team immediately went AFK and left the game, allowing his opponents to initiate a remake vote. While TenZ is usually a calm person, he said he was disappointed with the constant queue dodgers in the North American region, and agreed with a viewer that AFK penalties should be increased.
"I can't even play the game," TenZ said. "That's so sad. That's really sad. Fuck this region, everyone just dodges." The Sentinels star added that there are several players on the scoreboard who play duo queue and consistently dodge when their team isn't loaded with pro players or teammates fail to pick suitable agents.
When a player abandons a match, they will receive a warning for AFK/Queue Dodging. Additionally, they will not be able to earn XP from that match, and the system will have a 10-minute cooldown before they can enter another match. While the developers are introducing stronger penalties for repeat offenders in April 2023, TenZ said that queue dodging is on the rise because “nothing happens,” especially in the first few abandoned matches.
