How to Fix the User Interface Fails to Load Issue on Avast
Avast Antivirus uses multiple live shields, called Core Shields, to protect your computer from malicious threats in real-time. However, you still need to rely on the Avast user interface (UI) from time to time. It not only allows you to perform intensive scans for hidden forms of malware, but also configures the way the antivirus works.
However, on rare occasions, the Avast Antivirus UI may not load in Windows 10. You may see an error message labeled "UI failed to load." Or you may see other error messages as well, such as "Sorry, our screen didn't load" and "Well, this is embarrassing." The error message may include an option to restart services, but selecting that often does nothing.
The Avast UI typically experiences loading issues due to conflicts with Windows 10's Remote Desktop Services. In most cases, reconfiguring the functionality should allow the UI to load properly. If not, you'll need to update, repair, or reinstall your Avast installation.
