Chained Together has a unique save system that may seem a little hidden at first. It’s understandable that players want to know how to save, as it’s a challenging title where you don’t want to lose a huge chunk of your progress because you forgot to save manually. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to save your game in Chained Together
The game automatically saves your progress at certain points and there is no way to manually save at checkpoints you create yourself. Autosaving occurs when you exit the game completely or enter a new level (indicated by a level title appearing on the screen).
When you start a new lobby to play with friends, you can choose which save you want to continue with. Clicking this will load your progress from where you last left the game, essentially teleporting you back to that location.
Within a game you can also go into the settings and view the teleportation options, such as nearest safe location, highest unlocked point, and the option to load a checkpoint.
