It’s now possible to talk to your chatbot and it could revolutionize the way we interact with artificial intelligence (AI).
ChatGPT 5 Will Revolutionize Everything: Here's What You Need to Know
OpenAI has released a new version of its chatbot that can talk to humans. ChatGPT now has the ability to "see, hear and speak". The bot can understand spoken language, respond in a synthetic voice and analyze images.
“Interacting with AI chatbots using spoken words fosters a sense of natural communication, which caters to our innate human preference for verbal exchange,” Raffi Kryszek, AI lead at Proto Inc., told Lifewire via email. “This mode of interaction is not only often faster than typing, but also increases convenience, especially on devices or in environments where typing is not feasible.”
The new chatbot update, OpenAI’s biggest since GPT-4, lets users have voice chats on the ChatGPT mobile app. Users can choose from five different robot voices for the chatbot to use. They can also show images to ChatGPT, a feature called GPT-4-Vision, and designate specific areas to look at or discuss.
