When you take photos with your digital camera, you can set it to a resolution that is designed to suit your needs. But which one do you need?
HOW MANY MEGAPIXELS DO YOU NEED? YOU WILL BE SURPRISED!
For photos that you only want to share on the web or send via email, you can shoot at a lower resolution. If you want to print the photo, you should shoot at a higher resolution.
However, if you're not sure exactly how you want to use it, it's best to take photos at the highest resolution your camera has available.
Even if you decide you don't want to print the photo, you may still want to make a print in six months or a year. In that case, it's almost always best to make most of the photos at the highest resolution.
