Google Chrome now has a valuable little feature called “Minimized Chrome Tabs” that lets you minimize a custom Chrome tab into a PIP window. This lets you open a link from a native app and minimize the custom tab, allowing you to easily navigate between the web content and the native app. Here’s everything you need to know about Chrome’s “Minimized Chrome Tabs.”
How to Enable Picture In Picture on Android
The 'Minimized Custom Tab' feature in Chrome provides users with an alternative to closing the Custom Tab. This allows users to multitask between the native app and the web content.
When you tap a link in an app, it will open in a new custom tab. With the new feature, you’ll see a down arrow in the upper-left corner. Tap it to minimize it and view it in a picture-in-picture window.
The 'Custom Tab' PIP window can be resized and moved around the screen. To return to the Custom Tab, tap the central fullscreen button. To close it, tap the 'X' or drag it to the bottom of your screen.
