Google has introduced a new feature to Chrome desktop called Drag to Search, also known as Circle to Search. The tool first debuted as an AI feature on Pixel and Samsung devices, but is now accessible via Google Lens in Chrome and is rolling out more broadly.
How to Use Google's Circle to Search
Drag to Search works similarly to Android’s Circle to Search, letting users quickly find information about content they see on web pages. Once invoked via the can’t-miss Google Lens icon, users can circle, highlight, or even tap on text, images, or videos to initiate a search without leaving their current page.
There are a few ways to access Drag to Search in Chrome for desktop.
After calling, select the area you want to search on the web page. The search results will appear in a side panel, allowing users to explore further without disrupting their browsing experience.
