Clubhouse has been a hit since its launch in March. The audio-centric social platform has ushered in an era of audio-centric chat rooms that has been picked up by other social media platforms, including Twitter and Discord.
How CLUBHOUSE PAYMENTS Works // Monetize Your Clubhouse Content
While other services are trying to make the feature available to everyone, Clubhouse is still an exclusive, invite-only environment. This stems from the company’s ideology of putting creators first. In the same vein, Clubhouse has now launched its first monetization feature, Clubhouse Payments! Let’s take a quick look at it.
Clubhouse Payments is the first monetization feature on Clubhouse that allows you to send donations to your favorite creators on the platform. Clubhouse has partnered with Stripe to introduce this feature, and in line with their “creator first” ideology, Clubhouse has decided to send 100% of donations to creators.
The processing fee is sent to Stripe and paid by you when you donate to a creator. The full amount of your donation always ends up in the creator’s inbox. This makes Clubhouse one of the few creator platforms on the internet that doesn’t take a cut of the revenue earned by creators.
