CNN's exclusive interview with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz drew nearly 6 million viewers Thursday night, according to early Nielsen data, making it one of the Warner Bros. Discovery cable channel's best 9 p.m. hour in recent memory.

The interview, hosted by anchor Dana Bash, drew an average of 1.064 million viewers between the ages of 25 and 54, the most popular demographic for news programming advertisers.

The big get marked the second of the summer for CNN, which struggled to match the ratings of its two main competitors, Fox News Channel and MSNBC, while under the aegis of its parent company.
