A game that takes heavy inspiration from and is set in the Cold War would be remiss if it didn’t find cool ways to represent and exploit the animosity between the US and Russia. The folks at Activision knew this, of course, and so they made sure to take the most defining aspect of the game and combine it with the theme that it embodies. The Cold War is a prevalent theme in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and the weapons in the Confrontation Weapons Pack DLC can be seen as an ode to the hostility between the forces of the East and West, thanks in part to some nice, specialized skins on the weapons.

The Encounter Weapons Pack contains blueprints for two rifles. While the rifles themselves aren't all that surprising (an M16 and AK-47), the design and aesthetics of the rifle have been changed to embody the Cold War feel.
