College Football 25 has racked up nearly three million players in early access alone, Electronic Arts announced today.

EA said CFB 25 sold 2.2 million copies of its $100 Deluxe Edition, which included three days of early access before its full release today. That's a lot of money and a lot of eager gamers, with another 600,000 players joining in as part of a 10-hour EA Play trial.
CFB 25 was so popular during its early access launch that the servers were completely filled with players, causing problems for many who tried to get in. However, the issues were quickly resolved and everyone enjoyed themselves once they were online for some pigskin fun.
“From the moment we decided to create College Football 25, the passionate college football fans have been the north star for our team,” said Daryl Holt, SVP and group GM of EA Sports. “This game is for the fans, and the response we’ve seen from the entire college landscape, athletes, creators, celebrities and core community has been nothing short of spectacular.”
