The illustrious Counter-Strike Major tournament will return to the US in June 2025 for the first time since 2018 and the launch of the CS2.
BLAST.TV AUSTIN MAJOR 2025
BLAST announced today that the organizer will bring the CS2 Major state-side to Austin, Texas at the Moody Center Arena next year. Today’s announcement confirms reports over the past month that BLAST is seriously considering both the US and Austin, Texas in particular, for the 2025 Major.
American fans had already shown their hunger for more CS2 action after a raucous crowd in Dallas earlier this month cheered on G2 Esports as they lifted the IEM Dallas trophy aloft while taking on returning North American hero Stewie2k as a stand-in. Stewie2k was a key part of the Cloud9 squad that won ELEAGUE Boston 2018, the last Major to be held in the US. The US hosted a Major three years in a row between 2016 and 2018, but the event has not returned since.
This is only the second time that BLAST has hosted a Major. The last CS:GO Major took place at BLAST Paris 2023.
