Excel displays the distribution of numbers when you create a plot chart. The first thing you need to do is set up the data you want to display in your box plot chart. This example uses two columns of data, but you can use more if needed.

Enter a heading for each column. To use the sample data, enter 2017 in D3 and 2018 in E3.
