This tutorial shows you how to apply a stamp effect to text or an image using Photoshop. In this case, we will be simulating a rubber stamp, but you can also use this effect to create a grunge or distressed effect on text or images.

Create a new document with a white background and the desired size and resolution.
Go to the File > New menu item and choose the desired new document size. Then press OK to create the document.
Press the letter T on your keyboard to open the Type tool. Add text using a bold font, such as Bodoni 72 Oldstyle Bold.
