How to Make a Portable Version of Any Software
These days, most of us have multiple computers that we carry around, but what if you wanted to turn any computer into your computer? That’s where the idea of “portable” apps comes into play.
If you load these apps onto a flash drive or external hard drive, all you need to do is plug the device into a compatible computer and all your software and data will be on the drive.
When you install most applications on a computer, they make changes to the system and integrate themselves. For example, Windows applications choose a folder on your local hard drive, make entries in your registry, and generally expect Windows to provide certain services so that it can do its job.
