Some emails need to go to a group of people. Using Cc: or Bcc: is fine, but mailing lists are faster and more elegant. A mailing list is simply a sublist of your existing address book that is used to send one email to an entire group at once.
Fortunately, Mozilla Thunderbird has support for simple mailing lists.
Your Thunderbird Address Book can contain more than one mailing list. You can add any contact with a valid email address to your mailing list.
