There’s no doubt that Counter-Strike 2 has been in turmoil over the past few months, particularly when it comes to official matchmaking. To prove this point, one CS2 player shared a video purported to show off the current state of the game’s Premier mode, featuring Macarena chants and spin botters.

The video from an April 19 thread, titled "This is the state of 20,000+ Premier lobbies," shows a shameless cheater bunnyhopping in Inferno, shooting a USP-S as if it were an automatic rifle, and happily singing the popular song Macarena. Cheating is a common problem in official CS2 matches, and the game's subreddit is full of demos and claims that Premier is nearly unplayable, especially at 20,000 Elo and above.

Users commenting on the thread are generally angry and upset with both Valve and the cheaters, though there are some who see such blatant and annoying hackers as somewhat beneficial. "Cheaters are the most brainless people humanity can muster," one player wrote. Another believes that cheaters like the one in the video are "doing [the players] a favor," and that "there is no way Valve is not going to respond to this." The latter claim would go hand-in-hand with the hopes of some players that Valve is actively collecting data by allowing spinbotters and other cheaters to flourish, thereby bolstering its machine-learning VAC Live anti-cheat solution.

In addition to cheaters using third-party software to enhance their performance, there have also been reports of massive bot usage in the game’s casual modes. Deathmatch and Arms Race seem to be the most affected, with some on the CS2 and CSGO subreddits claiming to have been kicked by bots invading casual servers.
