German Counter-Strike content creator ohnePixel will compete in the Perfect World Shanghai Major in September. The streamer plans to "coach" a new team that aims to qualify for the most important CS2 tournament.

The 26-year-old streamer signed on as a coach for a new CS2 team led by former Monte captain Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk on August 12. Woro2k was benched by Monte after a two-year stint that saw him make a historic playoff run at the 2022 BLAST Paris Major and win several smaller tournaments. The in-game leader has yet to find a new home, but in the meantime, he has agreed to lead ohnePixel's new project.
Woro2k are joined by fellow countryman Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol, French-Moroccan star Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss and Israeli duo Tal “meztal” Hahiashvili and Meytar “AMSALEM” Amsalem. The majority of the squad comes from Europe and plays there, but hAdji’s dual nationality allows them to participate in the Middle East qualifier.
Winning the MENA event would see the team advance to the Asia-Pacific RMR, arguably the “weakest” of the regional qualifiers for the CS2 Shanghai Major, but their road to China will be far from easy, with many experts calling this year’s APAC qualifier one of the toughest out there. There are three spots up for grabs, but with teams like The MongolZ, FlyQuest, TYLOO and more vying for a spot in the region’s first “home” Major, the ohnePixel squad is far from certain to go all the way.
