Ctrl-C, sometimes written with a plus sign instead of a minus sign as Ctrl+C or Control+C, has two purposes depending on the context in which it is used.
Shortcut | Copy (Ctrl + C)
One is like the abort command used in many command line interfaces, including the Command Prompt in Windows. The shortcut Ctrl+C is also used to copy something to the clipboard to paste it somewhere else.
Anyway, this shortcut is performed by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the C key once at the same time. Command+C is the macOS equivalent.
As mentioned above, Ctrl+C behaves differently depending on the context.
