Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 “In the Turquoise Moonglow” is coming soon and the developers have shared a blog post detailing all the changes and improvements coming with the update. This includes the long-awaited custom lock-on priority setting and 120 FPS support.
CRAZY FREE LIMITED 5 STARS! 120FPS!? Wuthering Waves 1.2 Developer Notes Preview
The developers have been talking extensively about the optimization preview that the v1.2 update brings, and the main highlight is the new custom lock-on feature. Within the Control tab of the in-game Settings, players will see the Lock-on Priority option with the following choices: Movement Direction, Camera Direction, and Distance (see image above). With this setting, you can set the auto lock-on priorities based on your preference.
The next big improvement will be the addition of a 120 FPS option on select PC devices and the community has been responding positively; a popular Reddit user responded to this and the custom lock-on feature praised the developers for listening. They later added that 120 FPS is likely only for DLSS-supported GPUs; another user however stated that it has nothing to do with DLSS, but with the refresh rate of the player's monitor. We'll just have to wait for more details to come out to confirm this topic.
As part of the new Store Excess Waveplate feature, you will receive Waveplate Crystals after reaching the Waveplate limit (one Waveplate Crystal every 12 minutes until the threshold of 480 Waveplate Crystals is reached). These Crystals can be exchanged for Waveplates of equal value.
