You play as a young Yordle crafter who sets out to discover what happened to Bandle City’s portal network. You gather with other Yordles, throw fun parties, go on missions with various League of Legends champions such as Teemo, Tristana, and Veigar, and craft various items to solve puzzles and fulfill requests from various characters.
It’s all done in a cute little pixel art style that will be familiar to players of retro games like Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda. The writing is fun and self-aware, the storyline is cute, and the crafting mechanics keep things interesting. Bandle Tale’s laid-back, almost cozy game-like experience will likely keep you entertained for hours.
The base game is available for $24.99 on Switch, Steam, the Epic Game Store, and GOG.com, while the Collector’s Edition retails for $149.99 on Riot Games’ site. Collectors will get the base game, a DLC bundle, a Poro Pet skin pack, a Backpack House skin pack, a Particle Effect Trails pack, and a Secret Menu pack, along with five Yordle figurines, a Bandle Center diorama kit, a sticker set, a wooden pin set, a notebook, a hardcover artbook, a special box, and all the digital content from the Deluxe Edition of the game.
