After winning back-to-back titles, MOUZ were on their way to a near-perfect Counter-Strike 2 season. But their dreams were shattered by Stewie2k-backed G2 Esports, who knocked them out of IEM Dallas 2024.

The two teams met in the lower bracket semifinals in Texas, with MOUZ being the favorites to win the match. Eventually, the siuhy guys won the last two CS2 events: BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and ESL Pro League Season 19. However, their stint came to an end when G2 came back on Ancient to win the series 2-1 in their favor. Stewie2K's heroics helped them achieve this feat.
G2 secured the first map, Inferno, with a 13-8 score. MOUZ then responded with a 13-5 dominance on Nuke, and the series came down to Ancient. There, Brollan and his crew were up 9-6, but G2 players started making flashy plays to get back in the driver’s seat. One of those plays came from Stewie2K, who had a brutal triple kill on B-side defense, giving G2 a crucial round.
With that win, MOUZ’s journey in Dallas comes to an end. At the same time, G2 lives to fight another day. They are just one win away from securing the playoffs, but their next opponent will also give everything to emerge victorious. G2 will face Liquid on May 29, who will be looking to claim victory and compete in front of their home crowd in the arena.
