Shadow of the Erdtree is Elden Ring's expansive DLC, and secrets lurk around every corner. Today we'll be taking a look at the Darklight Catacombs and how to get through the dungeon without falling, dying, or getting lost in our helpful walkthrough.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree – Walkthrough Part 22: Darklight Catacombs

You'll find the entrance to Darklight Catacombs southeast of the Recluses' River Downstream Sight of Grace. If you haven't found that POI, you can access it via Shadow Keep directly north of the map. You'll have to do a lot of parkour, but with a bit of luck and our map coordinates, you'll find the entrance in no time.

Continue on to find a dark room with a passageway on your right and some shiny loot directly in front of it. If you’ve spent any time in Elden Ring up to this point, you’ll know that dungeons are full of ambushes, so be careful of the Imp statue on your left (shown in image #2) as you grab Grave Glovewart 5 (image #4). Continue on by taking the nearby passageway, which will lead you to a large balcony with a tunnel on your left – you can spot our first objective if you linger on the balcony for a moment: a nearby switch (image #5).

Continue forward (image #6) until you reach a room with two statue imps waiting to send you back to the nearest Site of Grace (image #7 above). You’ll be attacking the first one immediately, so we recommend backing off and luring him into a 1v1 situation before tackling the second. Once you’ve defeated both enemies, you’ll find a short staircase leading to a tunnel on your right (image #8); be warned that the Big Mouth enemy here spits explosive fireballs with surprising speed. Also note that directly behind you and directly below the stairs is a room leading to the lever we saw on the balcony (shown in image #9).
