While most Dead by Daylight players are enjoying the new two-versus-eight game mode, a red visual glitch is making one of the maps unplayable.
Dead by Daylight | 2v8 Game Mode Explained
Survivors and Killers can travel to new parts of the Blood Lodge, a map set in the Auto Haven realm. Within the map, a section of the outer wall can randomly collapse, replacing the entire area with a large red square.
DBD players probably won’t be too surprised by any glitches or server downtimes, as every major update usually breaks some part of the game. This bug, however, is a major graphical and gameplay glitch, as you can now explore previously inaccessible parts of the map beyond the outer walls. Additionally, if you happen to jump off the side of the map, your character will teleport back to their original position or another random area of the Blood Lodge.
This glitch has already been exploited during Trials, with players either celebrating the randomness of it or detesting the game’s bugginess. One user posted a clip on X (formerly Twitter) showing himself jumping off the map, only to teleport right in front of the Killer to quickly rescue a flashlight. Other players have used the glitch to prolong chases or dodge the Killer’s attacks by constantly jumping off the edge of the map.
